    I mostly don't empty it entirely and i can forget for months at a time (a lot of months, like 12) to look inside the kettle to see what's going on in there.

    I purchased this tea kettle at another site, sold under the name prime pacific i guess this is manufactured in china and sold by multiple companies here.
