This isn’t a problem because you have to grip really hard to prevent the weight from slipping out of grip causing your fore arms to work really hard

Theyre contoured in a curve so that you feel weird if you dont have your hand dead centered theyre not straight

There is a small gap between each side of the rubber sleeve when on the bar
