Like all wool, these help wick water away from my feet. These are phenomenal for keeping,my feet toasty. Purchased these to put in a pair of slippers.
Alpaca inserts are not too thick or thin, just perfect. They are cushioned but not bulky. Good quality for the money.

They dry fast and are so soft

My boots do tend to get wet though and the liner becomes a sponge so it would not likely work in cheap boots or shoes where you will get your feet wet
