Pros
Alexa bugs pop up but that’s not a hardware issue. It has other features that are similar enough to the google nest. It's my sound system for the kitchen in addition to being an alexa device.
The echo 10 show is a great device. The 10 inch screen is excellent.
App is a bit clunky for uploading photos but it’s manageable. Screen is large enough for her to see clearly and does a decent job of turning to face her. It also displays relevant information on the screen.
Cons
Get a tablet and a speaker. It is missing bass, it is below satisfactory. This device really need an native youtube and youtube music app, it's ridiculous that you're not already there.
The camera quality of okay. Does not allow 2 way audio with blink cameras. Alarms turn off for the entire week when you tell her to stop the alarm the day of. The face tracking is garbage.

You can but for some reason amazon has greatly limited your control over the slide show feature

You can ask alexa to play a slideshow or manual make it happen on the echo’s screen but that show only lasts for 3 hrs before it reverts back to a random shuffle of things i don’t care about reminders stock market helpful hints for using alexa etc

When the slideshow feature isn’t in use the clock is also featured in the bottom corner in bold numbers that obstructs the picture
