The camera is only $50 because they want you to buy a subscription. The subscription service is a little pricey and i opted not to use it. It is basically an expensive brick unless i wan tot pay a $20/mo.

The feature of communicating on the device is behind a paywall, which i thought was obnoxious. The so called support is someone eventually replies to your email and sends you miscellaneous articles to read.

After just 3 months of use my canary pro device became completely inoperable. I now own two canary cameras that lack the features i purchased them with. What i did not like is the half baked engineered software that is the canary all in one.

Beta tester says he gets lots of false alerts from the app. When he tries to reset the app, it doesn't respond. No notification or mail message is set.
