Sure enough, the supply is the culprit. Amperage is grossly overestimated by ~50% if not more. Temperaturefluctuation is also a problem.

The light cycles correctly and stays grouped and i’ve had no issues

It delivers a good solid 24v output with enough watts to spare

Power supplies are barely warm with no load and according to a watt meter shows 0 watt draw with no load attached

As for the poor fit while connected i watch the power draw into the power supply from the wall outlet
