Highlights
Quality
Im pleased with the quality and performance
Overall no issues at all with the new strip
Yes its a little more expensive than buying from one of the overseas vendors but not by much and the quality of the package is worth it
Update the seller contacted me offering help wry awesome i’ll update with the results
Packaging/appearance
Just make sure to read the instructions on the adafruit site and tell your program how many of these leds there are
Competitiveness
I recommend buying a 5v 8a power supply
Im using them with wled by aircookie and an esp8266
At 28 these are a solid deal compared to their competitors adafruit etc
As well as arduino or raspberry pi you can use the inexpensive adafruit boards running circuitpython

The old strip appeared to have a bad element as i could not get it to work even after cutting the strip right at the spot that wouldnt light and trying to interface with it directly

Original im able to easily interface with the led strip using an arduino uno and the fastled library but the strip doesnt work past the first solder joint leaving me only the first 15 of the 150 total leds as usable

Im not sure if its a bad connection or simply a bad element but when 90 of the strand is unusable its not suitable for very many projects
