Pros

This book is a goldmine. Awsome book. Her books are treasured around the world.

Excellent reference book for the advanced skills knitter. Includes a sizeable collection of color knitting charts for those who want to design their own fair isle/nordic sweaters. I recommend it for the serious color-work knitter and why not for a beg...  Read More

I just want to make some pretty tam o' shanters. Definite ability to read and follow charted designs is required.

Designs take advantage of a peculiarity of stockinette (flat) knitting done either circularly (all knit) or knit-purl flat. Designs include motifs from scandanavia through the balkans and the middle east.

Cons

One has to decipher yourself the repeats. Disappointed that the charts were not categorized or printed with repeats.
