Pros
The top lock certainly works; keeps the critters out. I usually only need to unlock one & slide my meager plate-fulls. The locking lid is an extremely nice feature.
This bin is at least 2x heavier than the hd bin. The plastic is quite thick and everything feels nice and sturdy. It's sturdy unlike some others i've had made with thinner material. Like the sturdiness of this compost bin.
Great product, reasonably priced. The company has great customer service as well. Happy with purchase (hence 2nd purchase).
Set this up a coupld of weeks ago. This aways faces the outside. Easy to set up, locks securely.
Cons
What a piece of overpriced junk. No matter what i do to anchor it, the raccoons have an easy time overturning. In my rural area this is basically useless.
Some of the bolt holes has enough flashing to make bolt insertion difficult. Bought two units, one unit minus screws/nuts.

This one is very sturdy the lid has a simple twist lock and the lower doors don’t bend and stay secure
Easy assembly strong construction and recently survived 334 hail at 10 years of age
Its made of very durable plastic and it wasnt bothered by 2 cold mich winters so far
After a month of daily use no problem with pests bugs or smell
Price
I didnt hesitate to pay more than twice the money i spent for the first one
I was just going to buy another one but noticed that its 100 more than the last time i purchased it
For the price quality should be better
For a product in this price range i would gladly pay an extra dollar for metal nuts and bolts
Shipping
Grab one if you can but be sure you receive the product you ordered and trace the shipping delivery process
They delivered the wrong inferior product to me intended for a delivery address that was in another state
But although it took awhile i contacted the seller and eventually got the missing pieces shipped to md
Packaging/appearance
Its a shame they have packaging issues
Being new to composting i had no idea how big a container to get
Competitiveness
I believe the quality of the design and materials make up for the relatively higher price point compared to other composts on amazon
Its just the best compost bin in the market in the price range
I bought the same one years ago at sams club at less than halp of the price
We bought a second one to replace the cheaper brand composter that didnt

We had originally purchased a rotating composter with a much smaller capacity but didnt like the functionality of it so we purchased this one instead

Its just my husband and i so we dont create an overwhelmingly large amount of raw materials to put in the bin so im sure that the capacity will never be full
