Distance to the access point to get a good signal is less than 1 mile even though you will see many more access points beyond 1 mile they are not usable

My first tests have shown connectivity to a standard wireless router well in excess of 14 mile and this was not even line of sight

This sucker is amazing it does not give real good instructions on setting it up for apple but it was not so hard to figure out just install the driver for your operating system and if the utility app does not open for you to scan for wifi just unplug the usb and plug it back in

You do have to plug this baby into a usb port on your computer for it to work so its not completely wireless
