Pros
It's easy, but challenging at the same time. The set takes a fair amount of patience and even skill.
Cons
The instructions are very unclear and confusing. The paper holder actually stops it from spinning, but if you move the paper holder slightly to allow it spin, the paper doesn’t wind up correctly.
The idea of this is nice but it definitely has some design flaws. The age range should be shifted upward.

So im already reasonably familiar with the concept
My advice though buy a refill with the order because they will spend hours crafting with this

Full disclosure ive been doing quilling off and on since the 1970s using the traditional quilling tools
I loved this kit and i thought it was adorable and a great introduction to quilling

The instruction book appears to be covering a number of different craft kits with the paper swirls and so it has instructions for using things that were not in this kit and not very clear instructions on how to make some of the projects they suggest

Since shes been through a large variety of whats available at michaels i went to amazon thinking it would have something outside the box
