Pros

It fills up a pretty big oversized mug (really oversized) everything is 10/10 except the whistle. I have an induction cooktop for the tea kettle and it is very fast and efficient.

This alessi kettle is a delightful piece of art design but fails as a functional kettle. Alessi has offered this over priced, poorly functioning kettle for decades.

On my first boil there was rust water dripping into the kettle from the lid. The design predisposes to getting burned when removing or replacing the bird whistle. It leaks at the spout where it connects to kettle.
