Pros

This air purifier seems top-notch. It is incredible. I am pleasantly surprised it does do the job.

This alen machine does everything it states and more. No musty smell or cigarette smoke odor remains.

Using only 30 watts of energy this thing is a workhorse. It has a turbo mode that cleans all 700 sq ft.

The machine is quiet and pleasant looking. Even on high the sound is not intrusive. We lower the fan speed at night on the purifier in the bedroom.

Cons

The smell is so strong it set the detector off! The unit emits a strong chemical smell that makes my eyes burn and * scratchy. It is disgusting inside.

Alen filters are not true hepa. They are not even rated as hepa, and there is no aham rating. Alen's warranty requires an active filter subscription.

The purifier is plastic as in the entire body and no remote is included. At any setting other than low it produces a high pitch sound that is too loud to keep in a quiet or semi-quiet room. Main complaint is the overbright control panel.

Theres no need for a booklet on how to set the thing up because its written all over the packaging

The entire packaging is labeled with how to set up notes and hidden feature call outs all over the thing
