Texting Difficulty
Customer feedback is mixed regarding texting difficulty with this Alcatel Go Flip 4 flip phone. While some seniors appreciate its simplicity and ease of use, others have encountered issues with the new texting system and mic clarity. Some customers were unable to get the CCK code required for activation on other carriers, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction.
Highlights
Quality
Sturdy and easy to use little phone
You can work around its shortcomings, and the performance of all other features is high-quality even with a phone plan without data.
The buttons are huge and the volume is loud, i had to adjust the volume setting to a low setting because it was so loud.
It not exactly like his old one but close enough and is reliable.
Packaging/appearance
Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the charger that came in the box was a micro usb instead of the type c that the phone takes!
Competitiveness
This later version phone is really similar to the previous version and uses a type c charger.
Overall, this phone is leaps and bounds better than the old nokia phone that was voice/text only.
Compare to similar flip phones, this is a bit heavier, but has a comfortable feel.
