You have to scan the setup code to enter bluetooth mode

When connected to the tablet via bluetooth it acts as a wireless keyboard so the default onscreen keyboard will disappear while its connected

If you need to use the onscreen keyboard at the same time as the barcode reader as we do you can get around it by downloading the free google keyboard for android or ios

I tried several settings such as storing on device and lot but nothing worked so i gave up and tried the pc

This initially gave poor results then i remembered the dongle as well as the cable connection was needed since my pc does not have bluetooth

Note that this is also not a bluetooth scanner

Essentially once connected the scanner become like an automated keyboard

It will convert any barcode to text and enter the text into whatever is the current live app on whatever device it is connected to
