Pros & Cons
Pros
The egyptian public usually eat it in a pita bread on the streets of any city in egypt. Mash all, some or none depending on your preference. I plan to try them over brown rice seasoned just as they are right from the can.
Cons
High risk of botulism. This is concerning. Some of the dented ones were even found in the center of the pack.
Highlights
Quality
These foul moudammas fava beans are tasty and tender
So easy to add a little oil and garlic and really jazz them up
Evidently the dents have not interfered with the quality of the product
Bean skins are a little tougher than smaller beans but keeping on the stove for a little while renders them more tender
Price
Best price per unit when purchase as a lot of twelve cans
That and the price is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5
Not buying it at the new price
50 per can on amazon and it was 1
Shipping
And of course nothing beats home delivery
I received them today in the post and immediately made ful medames or however else you would transliterate it
Packaging/appearance
It was very good and packaged very well will order it again when its available
Best kind of canned foul ive ever had the only thing is when i get the package there were a few cans dented
At least one can in the case was dented
Some of the cans were unfortunately dented
Competitiveness
I’ve tried several brands and this seems to strike the best balance between taste and low calories 275 calories for the whole can
I wouldnt buy the more expensive offers for similar products
If you’re not concerned with calories there are better tasting and higher calorie brands available
