My only concern is the amount of ambience that this microphone can pick up though in a fully treated space this might not be such an issue

Setting it up was a case of plugging it in on a windows 10 computer you can fine tune the settings in the recording options builtin to windows

I particularly liked the microphones inbuilt self adjusting shock mounts that really does minimises contact nose this was a major issue with previous microphones i have used
