The k601s are headphones that are unfortunate in the sense that they do everything at 810 but imho never make it to 1010

However the pads have totally kept their shape for 2 years of almost 68 hours of wearing them daily the dt990 pads are squished to under half their original thickness

Dt990s make some songs absolute sing but ruin others with too much bass k601s never have too much or too little bass

K701s and other even higher end headphones might be a bit better in detail but usually at the cost of even less bass which might ruin some genres of music

When i plugged them into my work computers speakers i had to turn the volume to around 85
