Pros
Device doubles as an audio interface when connected to a computer. Good amount of inputs and outputs to connect external midi,usb midi and turntable. Works great with daws and comes with its own as well.
Mpc enthusiasts make tons of helpful tutorial and tips videos on youtube. Familiar mpc workflow. Lots of documentation and support available online.
The mpc one is a beast. Sampler - great3. Drum kits galore.
The drum synth with the effects are worth the price alone. Touchscreen is cool, it's responsive and configurable. Solid build, tons of features great value and visually stunning.
Its thick but not bulky or too heavy. The sound quality is crystal clear. Knobs and pads feel quality. All the ports feel sturdy.
Cons
It freezes frequently while using and while turning on and shutting down. Causing so much stress and taking away creativity. When i try to install the updates, it keeps saying that the power cord isn’t connected. All of this leads to frustration that ... Read More

Whew great machine i’m an old mpc head and the mpc one combines the old with the new technology very pleased with purchase

Oh and the thing is so chonky for no reason the maschine is so slim and weighs more overall much better construction
Any of the bugs i may have come across in the six months using it so far arent the kind that will screw up any recordings i make with it

These issues i wont hold against akai as theyll most likely iron out these issues over time
It’s very similar to the mpc x just less knobs and less costly
