Pros & Cons
Pros
Only problem (nitpick) is that the remote is kind of jank looking. This thing is mighty for the size and built tough. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.
Its a bit lower, longer, and narrower with a larger volume knob. There's a loudness contour that's useful at low volumes. It has two loudness settings if you want to push the bass a little harder.
Cons
The speaker ports on the back don't hold a connection, i have to apply pressure to make the connection, please send replacement. Got a message from the supplier, but haven't heard from them again for a while.

Competitiveness
I have this amp hooked up from tv optical to a pair of sony sscs5 and a monoprice 60 watt sub in my bedroom and it rocks
Bluetooth sync up easily and the volumetracking sub out paired perfectly with my 120w sony powered subwoofer

The one thing i dont like about the d05 is the 34poppingclicking34 sounds it makes when you power it up or switch sources or if youre watching tv with audio going through the optical input every time you change the tv channel the amp popsclicks

When you are using digital inputs the signal stays digital all the way through except for the final output to the speakers

The downside is that the analog input must go through an analog dgital conversion and that is not a strong point of this amp
