Pros

Small dog maltese and yorkshire mix aka morkie and weighs about 10lbs. I also wish it was a tad bit bigger in length.

The material has an unusual odor early on but it dissipates. Hinged roof for easy clean out. Chemical smell from either paint or roof material lessened when out of the box.

It's great for a chicken but would probably only fit a cat or maybe a chihuahua. For a regular ginger cat with no winter home, we hope it serves as his shelter, too. It's just for her to be able to lounge by the window.

Cons

I'm not comfortable with my small chihuahua going on it and getting a splinter. The stairs are too narrow for a small dog to climb up. No ventilation in the bottom dog house.

Many pieces of the wood were chipped and splitting at the bottom and corners. Several chipped places in the wood. Also while i was super happy the pieces were labeled but many were stamped on the wrong side so it shows on the front.

The pre-drilled holes do not match up. Drilling new holes isn't an option because the wrong holes are to the front. The hatch is a lost cause bc there is no way for me to attach it.

You can put hay in them but i put an old blanket in each of them with the heating pads underneath

They are extremely hard and the slat and steps do not fit well together and actually take more time to assemble then the entire house

Shipping

Great cat house and thought i was getting it for a decent price then they tack on the nearly 50 shipping charge

Packaging/appearance

Did not like the plastic door it got misshapen during packaging and does not hang flat

It has a pretty strong smell out of the box
