It is sturdy and presses all the air out for preserving the fresh coffee
Unfortunately once you open it that countdown to going bad in 57 days begins regardless of the date printed on the container
It pushes all the air out sealing the coffee inside fully

Keeps my coffee fresh while making the kitchen look great a little pricey but i like it
Not wasting 4 containers of heavy cream or 7 containers of buttermilk is gold to me
It is expensive though so it just depends on how picky you are with your storage
