Pros

This fan is a little louder than the outgoing fan. It's not silent, but it is very quiet for it's size. Is quieter than the old one too.

Added a motorized damper for additional backflow prevention. Clear out the steam almost instantly if i forget to run it during my shower.

Cons

Buy a panasonic. It is loud and has a very bothersome rattle/buzz. If my shower went longer than 5 minutes it started dripping water out of the grill onto my bathroom floor. Sounds like a tank on gravel, waiting for it to fall thru ceiling.

My recent replacement in az made me very happy

I installed the room vent directly above it and did use the flex piping commonly sold with this product

One thing to be aware of with the fan on it feels like the bathroom door is open

Is quieter than the old one too

We did a lot of research before purchasing these fans and the prices varied a great deal on different ones

If youre a diyer i also recommend a roll of foil tape for the duct work as it quickly and easily resolves a lot of problems
