They both are squirrel cage fans and will collect dust and debris in the blades if used in a less then clean environment

The only down side for home use is the power cord it is 12 diameter 10 long fairly stiff black cable it connects with a cumbersome ground fault gfi plug i guess this might be required by csa or osha for the units intended industrial applications

The fan itself doesnt draw much power so the heavy cable is there to support the utility power receptacles on the control side of the blower

From an electrical standpoint this is definitely the safest of all my appliances the gfi and the power outlets are of no use to me but shouldnt deter one from buying this

Air king pictures i have seen are in black and white the actual color is light and dark gray with a dull silver handle on top similar blowers i looked at were bright yellow or safety orange with obnoxious branding graffiti
