The problem is that honda puts a plastic ring at the bottom of the charger socket and the wide base of the adapter is too wide to fit through the opening in that ring and therefore it does not contact the metal at the bottom of the socket
I tried it in 3 different cars and it never worked and the other chargers worked without any issues whatsoever
