Pros
Switch allows you to switch between laptop and desktop at the same time. Only one usb cable is needed to go from the device to each computer. It appears to draw usb power from one or both of the computers plugged into it.
It is sleek, does not take up much room and works well. It is instantaneous when you push the *. The * have a satisfying action to them, the housing is a sturdy aluminum housing.
Cons
It still passes the monitor through for my laptop, but it will no longer switch between computers. It would have been much nicer to hit a switch on my desk than to have to lean over and hit the small button on the kvm switch.

This is very nice and small kvm switch with all the needed usb cables to share a monitor keyboard and mouse between 2 computers
The command to switch monitors on the mac keyboard is hit control twice then 1 or 2 to direct it to machine 1 or machine 2
No hum and no heat from the box

This past december i purchased an iogear hdmi kvm switch for 70 bucks

Sturdy box all parts included and undamaged
Came with the switch and the two usb cables including the power cable not sure for what use

How ever the fact that the keyboard and mouse usb cables are in the front part of the device it is not nice

I have a wireless mousekeyboard combo that uses the same usb interface so i only have to use one usb port on the front which means i can use the other shared port for a webcam card reader or other device
