All digital callipers need the scale to be kept clean or else it wont read correctly

If you are not ready to look after your purchase properly buy a cheap chinese calliper it will be fine for you

It is brilliant it has an excellent display i like the fact that soon as you move the scroll wheel to take a measurement it automatically turns on

If it did the reading would sometimes go out by up to 0

Pretty sure it would also short out when measuring things like aluminium profiles
