The gels you buy at the pool supply store last about 3 months when applied to the gaskets for the pool filters

I have several cree led flashlights with orings around the threads on the end cap and those orings would always stretch and either break or move out of place when the end cap was removed and replaced

That was until i applied american grease stick sg4 silglyde lube compound to the oring and the threads
