I generally use my computer from my recliner so being able to control a mouse without it sitting on something was important to me. I have my cpu mounted under my desk.

Upper left button is laser pointer. Upper right button is same as pressing enter key on keyboard.

Cons

Trackball latency is extreme - it is barely usable. It works for a while and then dies. I suspect this means a few more shakes and it will stop working.

Only four * are configured in the drivers. There is no way toreconfigure the *. The ball and trigger are way too sensitive, which makes the cursor really hard to control.

Learning curve is very steep and pamphlet makes no sense. It feels quite cheap, i expect it to shatter if i drop it once. Time spent dealing with returns/refunds is worth more than this flawed product.
