It may be possible to do hot swapping with this caddy with a hot swap driver from lenovo but i have not explored this option

Lift it up to insert the drive and then flip it back down to fill the space behind the drive once it is flush to the sata connector

I took a seal pick and carefully picked a hole in the tape in the center of the circular indentation

The frame bezel pinlock eject pin etc seem to be a single molded piece of plastic with the metal frame sandwiched inside it

At first glance it seems to fit flush with the side of the machine but the bottom actually protrudes a bit maybe 18th inch at most because the angle of the bottom part doesnt quite match the angle of the case
