Even better than described im using it mostly for the external hard drive and it doesnt even need the power source connection that was required on others

The only thing is that you need to reformat your hard drive to fat32 format in order to see the hard drive content through your device

The product worked perfectly with my galaxy s3 although i bought it hoping it would work with my galaxy tab 3 which doesnt recognize it

The problem may be with the version of the android os thats on my tab it doesnt support usb storage drives like that of my phone

It seems to me though that a device such as this would be more useful with a tablet than a phone

It is deceiving because the female usb is at the point of the ycable making you think that whatever you plug into the two ends will be outputted into the female usb connection but this is not true
