I was pretty hard on my set sweating on it wearing in all weather at all temperatures leaving in my car overnight at all temperatures just throwing it in my purse without putting it in its carrying case and hauling it out from under tons of stuff and it put up with the rough handling for a couple years until finally last week the plastic near one of the ears ripped under the pressure

I put electrical tape around it and the sound still worked fine but the extra tape right behind my ear was too uncomfortable so i’m ordering a new pair now
