Since purchasing my washing machine last year i had been using ariel excel gel but found out recently that the smell could have been caused by a build up of gel inside the machine in places you cant see or reach

I had run a couple of 90 degree washes with nothing else in the machine apart from washing powder but the smell lingered albeit it wasnt as bad

After two weeks the smell has not returned and ill continue to monitor the situation and update this review if the smell comes back

Affresh is expensive but perhaps it is worth it if it keeps the smell at bay
