Fiberglass filters are flimsy and especially in a large size like this get sucked into the plenum because theres not enough supporting the center

Lastly 20x30x1 is hard to even find in fiberglass probably for the first reason

These afb bronze pleated filters are excellent because theyre sturdy and give a good degree of filtering but because theyre merv 6 rather than some of the really high ratings that pleated filters can reach they arent so densely woven that they put excessive strain on the fan and compressor

Yes i realize that merv 8 filters smaller particles than merv 6 but just wondering why you can order merv 6 if they seem to ship merv 8 or better

Product is seems a little flimsy in its frame but for the price i can’t complain much and it’s a merv 6
