I have a smaller format motherboard in a spare pc which has a video card with a big heatsink which occludes a pcie slot rendering it unusable

I initially got a lead similar to this one but because it was soldered in a less thoughtful way cable came out horizontal not vertical it did not fit behind the video cards heatsink and could not be used

But they are not hot swappable and so if you want to use one insert into your system and then reset the bios
