Simply awesome at least for the authentic applemade versions these puppies arent just a passive cable they have an amplifier on a chip a digital to analog converter on a chip both ways outgoing to earphones and incoming from earphone mic
Before you complain apple blew it by eliminating a normal headjack port i agree that was dumb consider this for your ipad it moves your headphone cable from the crummy bottom corner in landscape mode location where it interferes with holding your ipad to the central lightning port location away from your hands
