Pros
This is a replacement for an acurite unit that i had for ten years. Works great, but wireless range seems to be reduced. Station is as advertised.
Easy on the eye read out. Setting up the screen was simple and is readin the station well outside. Bonus, the old indoor unit is compatible with the new unit, so now i have to working displays in the house.
Cons
The only data transmitted are the direction of the wind and the external humidity. It is not possible to connect with the program acurite pc connect on my computer and when i'm on the site wunderground. The rainfall running totals quit working after a... Read More

Quality
So far this weather station has met our expectations seems to be made well and easy to put out in the elements
Love this product works great easy to read and uploads well to the computer
We had an acurite simlar to model 00589 for 8 years and the outdoor sensor stopped working
Was extremely difficult to set up had to youtube a lot of videos to get it sorted and the app on our phones properly
Price
Cost is high but cheaper with amazon if you dont live in the usa
Competitiveness
I have used other brands in the past and this one is by far the best one i have installed
However the system does not link to the older aqurite display

Due to the slope of the holder you must cant sit it on top of a higher shelf

There are some calibration you can do if you arent getting accurate numbers but i didnt find i had to do that

I do suspect that the temperature is reported too high during hot days despite the fact there is supposedly a little fan in it to keep the heat from building up

I wish the included software could be set up as a system service that would be running even if the computer was rebooted and not logged in to windows but this is not the case

Ive also been pretty unimpressed with weather underground lately as they have numerous issues with their site that have been going unfixed for several months and it would be nice if there were some other sharing options besides my acurite and weather underground

It was fairly easy to set up until it came time to connect to theinternet
