Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The sensor has a plastic loop on the top as well as a screw cutout for easy installation. Pairing with the sensor was automatic. We have another temp gauge that is right on with the thermostat and this one is 2 degrees warmer consistently.

The display has a thin plastic easel stand so that it is self-standing. Fancy pants model with a zillion functions. It’s not fancy but is quite serviceable.

Display is a little reddish and darker instead of the green gray in the picture. Easy to read big numbers are the outdoor, shows indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, time, and date.

Cons

Date and time needs to be reset after each battery change. Got booted off twice when got to number one in queue. Tried everything (new batteries, clean contacts, multiple re-boots, etc) to fix to no avail.

The display accuracy has a lot to be desired! Three sensors with three different readings all within one foot of each other. Neither synched with remote sensor.

    Perhaps it’s a good thing i couldn’t get a new sensor

The base unit has been relocated and perhaps there was interference from the coffee maker or toaster

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Initially i could not get a good connection between the remote and indoor unit then reread the directions and discovered that the new batteries in the indoor unit were not good

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After replacing the batteries i left the outdoor unit inside 68 feet away from the indoor unit

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It took a few minutes to lock on for a connection but after that the units were within a couple of degreespercentages of each other

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

But the official temperature reading is from a location a few miles from my house and presumably expertly located to give accurate readings

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I havent had the system long enough to evaluate battery life but i did use lithium batteries in the outdoor unit as recommended
