You need to not attempt to put the bolt through the vertical bracket and support bracket but vertical bracket only

You can put a bolt though the vertical piece and support bracket but i did not and dont think it needs it

The support bracket as shown in the picture slides on the vertical bracket and the rubber piece goes over the frame
