Quality

Then i watched the product videos and bought one along with the antirotation quick release mounting plates

I am extremely satisfied with this setup at this time and will make a post if this changes

The quality is top notch the usability is the best

As i have no experience with the more expensive acratech lbracket i cannot compare it to my desmond

Competitiveness

I thus then chose the desmond dal1 lbracket to take advantage of my acratech gpss ballhead gimbal function

The head is lighter than the other brands i have used over the years

These are not for a 500mm lens use a gimbal head for that

Light weight holding d850 2470mm 2

The desmond dal1 lbracket would fit the arcaswiss clamp of the gpss ballhead but required mounting to the 14 mount under the camera unlike the acratech lbracket product that allows you to keep your arca swiss plate mounted to the bottom of your camera that grabs with its builtin clamp

My setup however works well though it does not drop the camera in the gimbal position down parallel to the horizon and adjusting the tripod legs very slightly is needed to do that trick
