Pros

Down-firing spreads the sound evenly across the room. Only complaint is the crossover knob has labels from 4ohz to 140hz and nothing in between.

At such discounted prices something has to give. Very crisp and clean.

The construction of this sub is very solid. It's a very good subsitute, howerver, it's not 1500w. It'a a decent sounding woofer for 500w.

The veneer is expertly cut and glued so there's that. The box is light in weight but of solid construction. It is also not super larger and looks nice with the black bookshelf speakers.

The bass is nice and deep. I think the bass may be a bit tighter and cleaner than the the klipsch. Will wait and see but listening to pit bull as a write this the bass is very good and clean.

Cons

This is a 50 watt amp and sounds like something you buy from the dollar store. According to the description this powered sub has a 400w amp. Maybe the sub is defective as well.

Lowest quality speaker i have ever seen. Astoundingly poor sound quality for a 12 inch sub.

The polk is a far superior product (though the amp circuit board failed 2x in 5 years) this acoustic psw10 leaves the same impression. I am totally disappointed, at this price range i could get a polk audio that sounds as sweet as pie. Returned it and... Read More

Packaging/appearance

Once it arrived i plugged it in and it worked perfectly out of the box

However acoustic audio did an excellent job at packaging the subwoofer and after a full inspection it was perfect

Competitiveness

Finally bought a new reciever and subwolfer

It was easy to hook up i used the high imput with my speaker wires and my god it will rattle you to the core

Im currently using a douk phono amp and dayton audio floor speakers

I connect my computer audio to a grace digital 50w x 2 x 2
