Ring is a little bigger than four inches, so it holds a four inch terra cotta pot. No worries, just a little wrapping of twine and they fit snugly.
Cons
The inside diameter is actually 4-3/16, not 4 as described, so my 4 flower pot just slips right through.

Since this holder only holds a four inch pit i figured itd be ok to use but anything bigger than four inches would be a bad idea

The only thing i wish i had been warned about was that the 4 measurement is inner diameter not outer diameter which would have been helpful since the pots i needed to use these with were 4 outer diameter so they just slid right through the rings
