Pros & Cons

Pros

These are the best things ever for kids who are involved with martial arts. Bought for my martial arts class. He's improved greatly since practicing with these and has advanced two levels so far in his karate classes. My 6 year old loves them.

Sturdy, well-built for long-term use. These boards are pretty reasonable for the price. Nonetheless, they do the job they were intended for quite nicely. They seem sturdy, and i believe we'll get a lot of breaking sessions out of them.

Set of four re-breakable boards. The black is much thicker and, i believe, at least as hard to break as the few pine boards i have broken in the past.

The only drawback with stacking is that they can only be easily stacked for vertical strikes. As long as you watch out for it and smooth any developing burrs with a nail file it's a great piece of equipment.

The mechanism that holds them together is a simple but ingenious symmetric tongue-and-groove type of joint. Easy to reset after breaking.

Cons

While these are fun boards to use, there seems to be a systematic defect with them.

Also if the center joint of the front board were not aligned with the joint of the board behind it i think it might be much harder to break
