The blue backlight ensures i can take readings even in low light the batteries i put in are fairly new and as per the specifications the device will tell me when the battery is low

I am sure they will go a long time as the device shuts off automatically and does not use much juice when i am weighing a luggage item

Sometimes shows correct weight but sometime does not i cannot trust this device i had to weigh my baggage with other device to confirm
