Pros
I have been prone to cold sores for almost 50 years this is the only thing that prevents them. This medication has worked great for me each and every time.
If it opens up when i splash water on my face i just reapply abreva. Put it on the first tingle and continue for a few days. Eat your sandwich with a knife and fork, again, don’t disturb the goo.

My delivery of abreve was opened and tampered with. I received an email saying my delivery had been opened.

It starts working immediately and helps cut down on the healing process
I put abreva on it at the first sign of tingling and when the outbreak happens the blister is completely gone within 3 days

So why not buy pure docosanol at 6 per ounce and compound it yourself with bees wax and mineral oil
The negative is that it is very costly especially for 80 year olds on tight fixed income

This came super fast regardless and was able to help with a rough cold sore breakout i had just as my last batch of abreva was running out
That my fever blister was gone by the time it got here

Product was delivered as advertised and package was as pictured with excellent expiration date
Competitiveness
The bigger deal is it that greatly reduced the worst part which is the unsightly oozing and scabbing
Its very expensive but if i put it on as soon as i feel that little tingle it definitely helps better than anything else ive tried
