Pros & Cons
Pros
Control it all with a inkbird dual htg. It works flawlessly. The setup is great.
For only 50 watts, this small pad heats up quickly and quite warm. I have it stuck to the block on my large 150hp evinrude for added protection against the cold winter months here in the pnw. Used two 150 watt heaters my truck to get 300 watts of heat... Read More
I keep it plugged in during heavier snow & ice events. Helps my little car warm up quickly in sub-zero temps in alaska. Keeps the snow off.
Cons
Hester gets hot but my problem with it is the fact they advertise 3m adhesive. There is no real way to even clamp this thing to the motor while the silicon dries. Don't even think about buying this heater.

I put a temp gun on it and it heats to around 220 for around 30 seconds or so then cools down to around 70 degrees and then turns back on and goes back to 220 and keeps doing that so it’s not a constant heat

If you are wondering how hot it gets the pad peaked at 265f then came back down to under 200f

This would need hours to preheat even a cool engine oil sump up to warm

I also bought a timer and have it coming on intermittently then 3 hours before work

The adhesive on one side of the pad didn’t adhere well to the metal bracket i placed it on so i augmented it with epoxy glue and also some metal bars and galvanized wire to ensure that it didn’t fall off
