It seems there are two versions posted for sale here, one is an auto, one manual.

If it has the small ball at the bottom, that is the manual.

What i didn't like is the manual slide up does not seem to lock in place very well at the top.

In the description at the top of the ad it says it is windproof.

It is not anymore windproof than any normal umbrella.

They should definitely take the windproof claim out of the description.

It also retains the heat of the sun, so it's only slightly cooler under the umbrella compared to without umbrella.
