It cools on two of the inside wall sides of the unit so i would assume you need some breathing room around the contents

Our minivan has a 120v outlet this freezer is a really good fit for the van

It does have a removeable divider so you can use the one side to freeze and the other to refrigerate

More compressor noise than a home frig but not too intrusive at all
