John irving is a deceptively wonderful storyteller. This man is stunningly brilliant! I have always loved irving's writing; it is the reason i chose to read this book. A prayer for owen meany is a masterpiece and a most unforgettable character.

This book is a horrible disappointment and i am only finishing it because i always finish a book that i start" "it's real only value is to show the chaotic mind state of the liberal view of vietnam.

Was a draft dodger. Left his country. Didn’t like the catholic church. I still recall it being preachy, jumping around, and interminably long.

    I read 3 or so books every week and i don’t read crap like stephen king or john grisham i only like serious literary fiction
