Pros & Cons
Pros
James west davidson starts with the pilgrims and ends with the events of 9/11. He does so without much of a partisan or ideological axe to grind. Davidson's presentation and writing style are very readable and easy to follow.
Cons
Many important events, such as the prohibition, are totally omitted.
